As an experienced Clinical Psychologist, I am dedicated to providing high-quality mental health care to individuals and couples.
I completed my professional training in Psychology in 2012, followed by a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. Additionally, I have completed specialist training in addictions, eating disorders and trauma.
I have experience working in the public sector (NHS), as well over ten years in the private sector, during which I have worked in two of the leading private mental health hospitals in London. Furthermore, I have experience working with children, as well as facilitating group and couples therapy.
My training as a psychologist allows me to draw on a wide range of evidence-based psychological models such as cognitive behavioural therapy, systemic therapy, psychodynamic therapy and humanistic therapy. My approach is integrative, underpinned by a strong relational element, where the therapeutic relationship is the first step in facilitating psychological change and growth. I believe therapy should be founded on respect, empathy and an understanding that we all experience difficulties and have the potential to overcome challenges.
In addition to my clinical work, I have held senior management positions at various private healthcare organisations, where I was responsible for the leadership, development and operational management of psychological services, including addiction and eating disorders services, and general acute mental health services.
I am registered with the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) as a Clinical Psychologist, as well as with the BPS (British Psychological Association) and the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy). I am also a member of the Spanish official association of psychologists (COP Madrid).
My practice complies with the ethical and professional guidelines of these organisations, and I have full DBS (CRB) Certification, professional indemnity insurance and regular clinical supervision.
